Unbelievably excellent. I'm seriously running out of words, to describe how amazing and talented this author is.This is yet another intricate plot. It's filled with complicated court proceedures, matters of a legal nature that, truthfully, are quite... complicated.It is true, that we have a firm legal system in place, in our so called, civilised world. But at the end of the day, one doesn't always discover the truth, or achieve, justice.I kept guessing. All the way through. I was sure I knew who did it and then it twisted. Some other piece of evidence was presented. So, I changed my mind. And then, I changed it back.Ha.Yes indeed... Excellent.

Wow, this was such a great mystery. It had you wondering- did she do it, did he, was it a set up? This story makes you feel as if you are right there in their courtroom, then police station, etc it's just that good. The police procedure as well as the courtroom is truly accurate. The characters are all relevant and so true to life.This is the second book by this author I've read and I can't wait to read all his books. They are so very interesting. No skipping through "filler" pages in his books.I recommend his books to anyone who wants a fact filled, interesting, keeps you guessing mystery.

Robert Dugoni is a master storyteller. Once you read the first paragraph of any one of his books, you are in for a great adventure. He keeps you guessing up until the end which is one of the reasons I so enjoy his writing. The plots are intricate, the characters have depth and there are turns and twist that keep you guessing. Already starting Book 5 and understand from a reliable sorce that there will be a David Sloan Book 6 coming soon. I do not know Mr. Dugoni, am not connected with the Publisher nor have any involvement with sales. Just a retired teacher who thourougly enjoys any and every literary gem this talented author offers.

I actually finished reading this book quite a while ago. I just forgot to write a review. I really enjoy Dugoni's legal thrillers. He's an excellent writer, and I only gave him four stars instead of five because I preferred one of his other books to this one. David Sloane, a top-notch attorney, is recovering from the loss of his wife. In the midst of his work on previous cases, he comes across a very smart, attractive defending attorney who was against him on one of those cases. She quickly becomes involved in his life, almost too quickly. Then Sloane finds out that this woman is being targeted for her work in bringing down a drug trafficker who managed to kill her daughter. When a trafficker is found murdered, she becomes a suspect, and asks Sloane to represent her in court.Sloane seems to be a bit oblivious to this woman's agenda, but the people who work for him and even his step-son are growing wise to possible problems in the case, and in this woman's involvement in Sloane's life. Sloane is forced to separate his personal life from the case, and look at what is really going on before it is too late.Great summer read, very smart, with lots of intelligence.

I suffer from PTSD. The main character has a brain injury that causes him not to be able to forget anything. So, then terrible murders connected to him some how. He isn't struggling to remember events, clues evidenc- it's all there in his mind along with the mental agony and grief. Putting these photographic memories connect to stop these horrible murders and the serial killer. It's an amazing story with a unique character slant and how long can the hero character tolerate the anguish before he throws himself to the stop the killings. Twists, turns, and remarkable villians.
