So begins an adventure that takes the girl to a secret castle where she learns that she may not be as unique as she previously thought. Kessler combines the whimsy of life as a mermaid with the problems of an average middle-schooler. She keeps the story moving, with each chapter posing a new problem. Purchased this entire series for my Granddaughter and she absolutely loved the books. She is reading them for the second time and tells me she wishes someone would make a movie, because it would be fantastic. Just purchased a second set for my other Granddaughter, can't wait for her response. Books are my favorite gift to give to my Grandchildren and luckily all seven love to read.

My 9 year old niece fell in love with these stories. I am sure I will be buying more. Hopefully, it will be the journey to have her love reading.

Got a few in the series, for my daughters 7 yo birthday. She is almost 8 and enjoys them.

My 10 year old daughter loves these books. She is such a fan that she insisted on writing a letter to the author to tell her how great the books are.

My 10 yr old daughter is not a big reader so I have searched for something that would interest her enough to help her reach her AR goal in school. I picked up the 1st Emily Windsnap book at the school book fair & she LOVED it! In fact she & all of her friends have passed these books around the whole group & her best friend just gave her an advanced copy of the 4th book for her birthday. These books are worth 6 AR books so they have helped her reach her AR goal each 6 weeks & she reads them willingly which is amazing! After she finishes this series we are going to get Kessler's other series on fairies.

Very good book, to do a school book report on, my child enjoyed reading it.

Amazing series - my 7 year old daughter loves these!! Highly recommend :)
