I have read every one of C.J.Petit's books. As in all his books, he writes a complete story. Just enough to inform and understand. Perfect amount of violence without being messy, perfect amount of love and passion without being embarrassed, a chance for learning a few things from another time. I don't even mind a few typos, and those are getting less. These are good stories that hold my interest from the beginning till the end.

I have l tried to read all of CJ's books. I have found all to be very good. They come at you with action,romance and a fantastic story line as with all of his books there is a well defined story that builds from page one to the end. I really enjoy these types of stories because you are left with a very warm feeling at the end. I ready for the next story

As always a great, hard to put down read. I love CJ's books, every one has an unusual twist to the main characters. This one is, "ripped from the headlines", ala #metoo. It's not my favorite type, I'm an escapist reader. While I appreciate broad philosophical content, commentary on current events blunts my ability to lose myself in the book. Hence the 1 star demotion, it didn't stop me from enjoying the book though and I'm sure many will want to give it an extra star.

What fun to read C. J. Petit's books and Ben Gray is no exception. I love his plots, his descriptions of guns, western clothes, their food and habits. Mr. Petit has written many books and all of them have a touch of romance and still each is varied. As a fun side, he uses the word "Jasper" to refer to a questionable person. The book starts with the date 1880, but the slang word "Jasper" wasn't created until 1896. But usually, I think Petit's research into the western times has been extensive.

Mr. C.J. Petit you've done it again, what a great story. Your characters are brought to life by the sheer magnitude of your awesome immagination . Would highly recommend all your books to everyone that enjoys a great story.

This is one of the more innovative and interesting of the books provided by CJ Petit. The Characters are a bit more "slanted: than normal and more interesting. Interesting plot deviations that make this a really good book to read.....and enjoy. All I can say is, keep them coming and hurry up the writing process.

My favorite Western author! Hands down my most interesting and comforting reading. I am so happy that he is a prolific writer and allows us to enjoy his books without breaking the bank. I have read every book (over 37 and counting) and look forward to his monthly dole of new tales. The plots are similar but have enough surprises to keep me entertained. Can't say enough about this author.

I really appreciated the interesting story line and how the characters were well developed. I sincerely could have done without the swearing and sexual nuances. I do not normally read books with in your face sex in them.I was very disappointed by the mixed up character names and misspelled words, bad editing. I really did appreciate however the references the weapons and how they were used.
