Sarah Cash (author) and Jason Smith (illustrator) are sister and brother who were born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Sarah still resides in Atlanta with her husband, Bedford, their two daughters, Camryn and Danielle, and their two sons, Bedford III and Aaron. When she was growing up, her favorite books featured animal characters, which inspired her to write her own animal stories as an adult. Often children have so much stuff that they don’t realize they should share or have forgotten what their mothers taught them about sharing. In addition, too often our manners go out the window when we see “The Stinky Mouse” in society. The author had written a wonderful tale that reminds children and adults of this important lesson. I have been the “The Stinky Mouse” in my life in one form or another and it wasn’t any fun. Read this book to your children so that they’ll never forgot to treat everybody with respect.

My 3 year-old loves this book. She calls it the “Stinky Mouse” book. She even reminds me to read about the author and illustrator at the end of the book! It’s wonderful to have an author who is sensitive to lessons we should be practicing and teaching our children at an early age. I’m looking forward to sharing her next book with my daughter.

My 3 and 5 year old love this book! The length of the story is great for the attention span of young children plus it packs a great life lesson. This lesson is also a wonderful reminder for us adults who tend to get caught up in the daily routines of life. It’s a simple premise, be kind to others. This lesson rings true from the playground to the corporate board room. My girls had so many intriguing questions after this read. Great story + Great illustrations= A must have!!

Our boys loved Squeaky - although they disagreed with his vegetable of choice (broccoli.) ;) After reading, they were able to easily understand and apply the moral of the book. I love when a story can not only keep my kids engaged, but also leave them with a lesson that adds light and love to the world. A book that can do that is a treasure. Thankful to add Squeaky to our library and can’t wait to learn more from him in the future!

I am not going to give away any more details about this wonderful book. You're just going to have to buy a copy and read it for yourself. Buy it, read it, then be nice and pass it on.

As a storyteller, I am somewhat critical of what I read, but when I sampled the Kindle version of Squeaky and the Stinky Mouse, I knew right away that this was a good read for kids. I purchased my book and it arrived quickly. I've read this book several times to my grandson and he loved it. The great thing for me is that I'll get to enjoy this book for a long time as I have four more grand babies to read it with. Squeaky and the Stinky Mouse is a keeper!

I think what makes it extra special is that it's a sister and brother collaboration! Great story with wonderful hand-drawn pictures...not computer generated, either. Nice to see a story with a solid message about learning to not look down on others and lending a helping hand...good lessons for wee ones to learn in these days and times...right on point. Easy to read. Great for beginning readers. My grandson wants to hear it every night! Really looking forward to more Squeaky Tales...love Squeaky and Whiskers!!

I bought two copies of the book for my niece (2 y/o) and newborn nephew. My niece instantly loved the story and big, colorful art! It’s a great book with a great story with the added benefit of recognizable elements that kids love to point out. It creates a fun interaction between the book and the child. She even put the iPad down for the book! Now we’ve read it so many times that by the time my nephew can pay attention, my niece can read it with him!

Mr Schubach writes a story that digs deep into the collective unconscious and mythic background and creates memes and themes that resound with anyone who has ever read the Norse myths.I truly love the way Mr Schubach makes these timeless stories live again by putting his own spin on them. Every time the Valkyries rush to battle, I hear Wagner in my head. Mr Schubach deftly stirs the heart while spinning a tale that excites and delights. The reader thrills to Kara's extraordinary courage and weeps over total devotion to those she loves.Edited to add: After the second reading, I am still astounded by how accurately Mr Schubach interprets the Poetic Edda. The poem called "Voluspa", for example, portrays Ymir as the primordial being from which everything was created, the origin of the Aesir and even the first of all the Jotun. The Bellows translation says, Of old was the age when Ymir lived; Seas nor cool waves nor sand there were; Earth had not been, nor heaven above, But a yawning gap ("Ginnungagap"), and grass nowhere.After reading Erik Schubach's Valkyrie series, if one were then to read the Poetic Edda, it would all sound definitive, accurate, and familiar. So many authors grab a mythological theme or a few characters and then make up their own details, but Erik Schubach researches and makes sure he gets the details right.The reason I always say so much about this is because it makes the books so much more enjoyable for me to read. Every time I read a new Valkyrie book, I get online or dig out some of my mythological tomes and look up details that are new (to me) or unusual. And EVERY SINGLE TIME, Erik Schubach has gotten all the details exactly right!Do you know how unusual this is? How many authors go to this much trouble to create accurate resonances with race memory, literary tradition and architypes that we all have vague memories of? These details enhance the stories so much and enrich my enjoyment so deeply that I just can't stop raving about it.

This had to have been a record for quickest time to make me cry and get frustrated, but I will admit it the tears and frustration was worth the read! Through out the journey Erik has taken us on with the Valkyrie Chronicles I know I have come to absolutely love each and every one of the characters. This installment is no different! I did not want to put it down (after the small fit I had in the beginning) even when I was at work! The new race introduced keeps your hackles raised as your root for our heroines and with each book you get to see new sides and even more depths to your favorite characters. And now there's a new character I can't wait to know about... NEXT PLEASE... RAUGH!

I am so happy I received the corrected download because I would've been upset at missing book four. It was worth the wait. "The Uniting" of the previously warring factions to defeat a threat to all worlds. The sense of community developed throughout the races showing peace can happen if you choose it. The constant is always love. I love it and can't wait for the next one. I have actually began reading Norse mythology. If you want or need a good vibe, read this book. Read them all. I've read many series that start to fizzle out a few books in but that is NOT the case with this series. Seventy Two Hours is easily the best book in this series so far, and I can't wait for the fifth book!This book is action packed and will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. One of my favorite parts though was seeing some things fully revealed that were just hinted at in previous books.

I Loved this book. For the most part you are reading the point of view of our most beloved characters Kara and kate, which put a smile on my face being so reminiscent of book one in the series. As for the plot, Asgard is under a great threat yet again but not by whom you would believe. Who is this new threat and will the great valkyrie of Asgard be able to stop them. You must read to find out, you won't be sorry.

Once again in his fourth book Erik Schubach has done an excellent job! The characters where as always humorous, well rounded and relatable. All of his Valkyrie books have been nonstop action packed and kept me guessing. Buy his books they are worth every penny you spend.

Everything Erik writes is great-not a single bad novel yet- this series is fantastic sci-fi with heroic women (with super-heroic powers) battling to save their alien culture and the planet Earth too

Erik has done it again! "Seventy Two Hours" is another worthy addition to the Vakyrie Chronicles! Non-stop action, a tight story line, and surprises galore. Everything we have come to expect from this great storytaler. The introduction of two new races was inspired and lends itself to further adventures. Looking forward to more adventures. I bought this book thinking there would be many plans for building outdoor playhouses. It started by recommending a pre-cut kit, which I wouldn't need a book to help me build. They only had one self built playhouse that did not look as good as a pre-cut kit. If you are looking for a book of detailed DIY plans, this isn't it.

It's very helpful for being something in the garden !

Black & Decker Play Structures & Backyard Fun is a great DIY tutorial! This guide has more than the traditional playground blueprints. It has plans for a backyard putting green, zipline, skateboard ramp and obstacle course, as a few examples. It offers useful tips on building materials, tools and safety. The step-by-step plans are accompanied by helpful color photos. Novice to advance DIYers will benefit from it. It is well worth the price.

An assortment of play structures to choose from were offered in a straightforward DIY tutorial. Always good to be reminded, it was nice to see that safety precautions were recommended when working with some tools and equipment. From the foundation on up everything was clearly categorized and shown step-by-step on how to build each of the structures. When followed carefully, the finished projects promise to come out masterfully done. This wire spiral-bound weekly calendar begins on Monday, January 1, 2018 to January 6, 2019. Inside are 57 beautiful professional photographs of nature with an informative description of each photo, location and the name of the photographer. The lettering of the months, days and numbers are big enough to read. Each grid of the day has space of about 6 inches wide by 1 inch high to write down your appointments, meetings, video conferences, travel dates, hotel reservations and confirmation numbers, phone numbers, birthdays, anniversaries, picnics, family reunions and friend reunions. I buy the Audubon Birder's Engagement Calendar every year. The pictures are beautiful, but I consider that a plus. I like the fact that there is more room to write than on many other calendars of this type. Also, the pages where you write are not next to each other. It is so much easier when there is a non-writing page next to the info page.As long as Audubon keeps making these calendars, I will keep buying them.

Buy all 3.Nice spiral binding, quality paper, glossy, pretty images.Bird nerd Mother kept this one & the wall calendar. The Audubon page-a-day was not to her standards.

As a player and fan I learned about the game, and how some of best in the game approach their jobs on, and off, the field.I recommend this book both for those who know the game well and those new to soccer. Serious fans and players will get insights into nuances of the game, and those new to the sport will learn the little things that make the difference between a good player (and manager) and a great one.Wahl has an obvious affection for the subject and for those he interviews, which makes Masters of Modern Soccer a pleasure to read.

A well written and researched look into the strategies and motivations of some of the world's best players, coaches, and managers. Highly recommended for all the soccer fans out there.

I found author Carson McCloud a few years ago with his debut book, "Devlin's Ride." It is wonderful. I am so pleased to see his third novel surpass that effort."Blood on the Bighorns" is amazing. The plot is gripping, clever, heartwarming, terrifying, fast paced, and completely entertaining. Set in Wyoming in the early days of Western expansion, it is an authentic reflection of the challenges that came with settling the wilderness and the tough men and women who stepped up to carve out a life and make a home there.What makes this story exceptional is the remarkable character development. A youth approaching manhood is left an orphan with a ranch to handle alone. It is stolen from him. As Brett struggles to regain his home and his dead parents' lifelong dream, he matures right before the reader's eyes. His journey is fascinating, very authentic, and so well crafted that the reader feels pulled into the events as if they were there. The secondary characters are also quite special. No more hints from me. Discovery is so much fun. I hope this author continues to write more terrific stories. I'll be waiting. This is a marvelous story which I highly recommend. (I have never met the author nor have any connection with its publication)This is a historical adventure with a dash of clean romance. Some violence. Appropriate for teens and up.Side note: A good novel requires both craftmanship and creativity. Storytelling is art which this author can do very well. Grammar provides clarity and structure. Proofreading, which seems to be in short supply in many kindle editions, should be the easy part of building a book. So why the simple editing mistakes? Hire an A student in English. Or retired teacher. Or something. Not a deal breaker, but so unnecessarily irritating to your audience. I kept reaching for my red pen.

An old friend of his father, an IIndian, saves the young man. The young man has to regain his health for the adventure to begin. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

A young man discovers his father hanging from a tree and thinks he did it to himself. The ranch comes to him but a neighbor wants to buy it. When the young man says he won't sell life turns deadly.

One of the best Westerns I’ve read. A great story line. No complicated plots, just good Western justice. I really enjoyed the book.

How despicable humans are to one another, some show no empath or concerns about how they treat others, as long as they grab what doesn't belong to them. Drugs, human trafficking all these horrors have ALWAYS been part of the tapestry they woven itself into America's seams. Greedy men who used their money and bullets to steal people's properties, murdering innocent people without any moral convictions. This what happened in this western when a young boy finds his Pa, hanging from a tree, thinking all these years that his father committed suicide because of the loss of his wife. This wasn't true, his father was murdered by the same men who are now taken over his father's ranch...no remorse.Love does it really matter, but it does in this western. A young Native American girl with others are kidnapped to be taken to the mines to be used as prostitutes for the miners, also there's the introduction of "opium" which was to be sold to whomever wanted and could afford it.Lisa a young Mormon girl, Allie the Betrayer and Mourning Song the Outcast, all making Brett wonder what's going on?? Lots of women and which one will Brett decide whose the one for him..In the west it takes a lot of fortitude and stamina to deal with all the trials and tribulations that rear their heads every day, second of your life..The only thing guaranteed in life is "DEATH."It's not a nice thought, but it's reality..Ride easy Brett and whomever you choose to ride with you....

Ruth Pointer began her formal vocal training as director of the junior choir in her father's church, then pursued a singing career with her sisters, Bonnie, June, and Anita. She occasionally stepped out as a solo artist, contributing to movie soundtracks and lending background vocals. She lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Marshall Terrill is a veteran music, film, and sports writer and the author of 20 books, including bestselling biographies of Elvis Presley and Steve McQueen. Three of his books are in development to be made into movies. He lives in Tempe, Arizona.

First of all, I am a die-hard and long-time Pointer Sisters fan. That said, Ruth Pointer's auto-biography is completely different than most celebrity biographies. If you are looking for a book that is full of name-dropping, bad-mouthing celebrity gossip, this is NOT it. Ruth bares all in this painfully honest story of her life from childhood to present day. She writes in detail about her hard-charging life of drugs and alcohol and, happily, how she tackled those demons with decades of sobriety. Ruth is open about struggles with parenting and love while living the life of a music star. Readers will find interesting how Ruth and her sisters managed their relationships during their 40 years in the music business. Ruth has led a very complex and amazing life and her struggles and triumphs are well worth the read. Just look at that smile of hers on the cover and tell me how you don't want to know what it behind it.

What a story! I never would have imagined what Ruth wrote. Of course as a fan since their first release in 1973 and a steady student of their vocals (I learned so much from them) I knew there was more to their tight knit sisterhood than was visible. But the strength, struggles, triumphs and continued legacy are even more profound to me. Indeed "Still So Excited" (as "Only Sisters Can Do That honey") is a glorious testament to sisterly love with no boundaries and relentless dedication to each other. The unified vocals and distinct personalities bonded like a slice of heaven for the world to enjoy. It makes me sad to know some of the backstory and the lack of promotion they received from inept recording companies in their latter years. There were so many missed opportunities for major hits. Still, the group made history unmatched because there is nor was there a group like The Pointer Sisters that dared to record and sing in SO many different musical styles. Just try and name another female vocal trio or quartet that accomplished that. No ya cant but YES they can and DID!

Just finished reading the book...I was floored at the life of Mrs Ruth Pointer. I was a fan of The Pointer Sisters, even though they were before my time. Ruth was always my favorite, and after reading the book, I discovered she was Michael Jacksons' favorite as well. Her accounts of her sister June sadden me, but her spirit lives on through the music. Overall great read; Sister Ruth puts it all out there, good, bad, and the ugly.

Growing up a fan of all music, the Sisters were and still are a class act! They know how to put on a fun and entertaining show! I own every album and have been a fan nearly all their career. Not every music group is perfect as they all go through their highs and lows. The Pointer Sisters are no exception to this rule and Ruth nicely puts it out there to share with everyone in a no-holds-barred way.Honestly written with many telling memories, she shares what it is like to be in the business and how the road was bumpy both personally and professionally. She writes of motherhood and how her failures led to surmounting issues as their popularity continued to rise and soar. She's honest about what she liked and was disappointed with when it came to their music releases. She's honest about the dysfunction within her family both personally and professionally.Being a long-time fan, I thought I knew more about The Pointer Sisters than I actually did and I appreciate Ruth's openness about the history of one of my favorite groups. Clean and sober for 30 years, too! I am very to have had the opportunity to read, "Still So Excited!" A very enjoyable read!

Ruth Pointer's "Still So Excited" is colorful, candid and compelling. I couldn't put it down. All the triumphs and tragedies of her life and times with her (Pointer) sisters are accounted for in this unflinchingly honest and poignant memoir. Pointer speaks her truth and trauma without a hint of self-pity. And it's certainly not all bad times. Pointer emphasizes the good times in both her professional and personal life. She tells her story with the same easy-going warmth and familiarity that her beautiful voice conveys in her recordings (Ruth is the lead voice on the hits "Automatic" and "Neutron Dance"). She also has a wicked sense of humor and I laughed aloud more than once in the few days it took to read this page-turner. I also really enjoy that Pointer discusses the Pointer Sisters' music in some detail. She talks about producers, musicians, recording sessions, songwriters, industry execs and the process of making the music over the course of the Pointer Sisters' long illustrious recording history. She also shares several antecdotes about her many interactions with other artists and entertainers. I highly recommend to anyone with even a casual interest in the Pointer Sisters.

This is one of THE BEST autobiographies I have ever read!! Full of wonderful inside stories about Ruth Pointer, her sisters, family and famous friends. I couldn't put this book down! Very well written with great musical knowledge & trivia, wonderful anecdotes full of humor and honesty, and stories about surviving and thriving in a tough business where the music business builds you up and then tries to tear you down. Ruth is a survivor and her story is one full of laughter, having fun in life, her faith in the almighty, sharing the good times & bad with her fans and readers, dealing with her own drug use as well as the sad downfall of her baby sister June. She doesn't hold anything back and really delivers a fascinating inside look of life as a Pointer Sister.

I grew up on the Pointer Sisters from "Yes We Can Can and much of what came from them after that. Very straightforward and a fast-moving read. Ruth definitely took us on a roller-coaster ride with a look into the music and entertainment industry as well as the highs and lows and then highs again in her own life and that of her family. I really enjoyed this book!
