About the Author

Michael L. Brookshire, Ph.D. is a Professor of Economics at the Marshall University Graduate College in Charleston, West Virginia, and the President of Michael L. Brookshire and Associates. His doctorate in economics is from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and much of his early career was spent as an executive officer of the University of Tennessee and the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Brookshire has authored two books and over thirty-five refereed articles and book chapters on the proper calculation of economic damages. He has worked for plaintiff and defense attorneys in such notable cases as the Arrow Air (Gander, Newfoundland) and Lockerbie (Scotland) airplane crash cases and suchclass action cases as the Fen-Phen, Bendectin, E. I. du Pont C-8, and Tobacco Smoker cases. Dr. Brookshire was a charter member of the National Association of Forensic Economics (NAFE) and served on the Board of Directors from 1990-2001. He served as the fifth president of the Association in 1993 1994 and as the second, executive director of the Association from 1999 2001. He received in 1999 the past presidents award for outstanding service to the Association.Frank Slesnick, Ph.D. received his B.A. from Oberlin College and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Minnesota. He taught at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and for thirty years at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. In addition to his full-time duties as a professor of economics, he has served as a forensic economic consultant for twenty-five years in the area of personal injury/death cases with a specific focus on medical cost issues. Dr. Slesnick has published widely in the field of forensic economics and currently serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Forensic Economics. In 1991 92, he served as the fourth President of the National Association of Forensic Economics. He retired from teaching in 2005 but maintains an active consulting practice.John O. Ward, Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) and President of John Ward Economics, a litigation consulting firm located in Prairie Village, Kansas. Dr. Ward has a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the University of Toledo and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma, granted in 1970. Dr. Ward was a professor of economics at UMKC from 1969 to 2003, serving as Department Chair for fourteen years and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for eight years. He continues to teach Human Resource Economics and Law and Economics for graduate students. His publications include five edited or authored books, fifty-three papers published in refereed journals, publications in law journals and reviews and numerous presentations at national and international academic and professional meetings. Dr. Ward was the first President of the National Association of Forensic Economics and the founding editor of the Journal of Forensic Economics. He served as editor of that journal until 2004, when he became editor emeritus. Dr.Ward has served as a consultant for the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, the governments of Brazil and Mexico and numerous non-profit organizations, including the American Epilepsy Association and the Families of September 11th Association. Dr. Ward s consulting firm, John Ward Economics, employs eight economists and staff. The firm provides economic litigation support in commercial litigation, employment law, anti-trust and personal injury and death litigation throughout the United States.

At first glance, this Pink/Brown Micro-Fiber Purse-Style Quilt Stitched Bible / Book Cover - Psalms 46:10 is pretty and nice to look at. But after I opened it and examined it closely, it's really flimsy. The straps are extremely thin, aren't sown in correctly and strongly to me and don't look like they'll hold up long; Especially not with a heavy Bible. This is designed for an extremely light weight Bible and/or basically for show in Church and that's about it. I'd keep it in a large bag and only take it out when needed. I would not recommend carrying it around by the handles. I would not order this Bible Cover again.

Looks so much nicer in person. Love it! The bible in the photo is the RV1960 large print w tabbies bible tabs. There is just enough room for that bible and maybe a pen or small note pad but I would keep just the bible in it. The color is closer to the pictures w no flash. The quality seems good it doesn't look cheap. Seems it would be easy to wipe clean w a wet cloth.

My mother absolutely loved it! She had an old, fairly large, family heirloom bible that she’s used because “God’s word isn’t meant to be put on a shelf.” So, she tries to preserve it while still using it the best she can. Her old cover had gotten “velveteen rabbitted” as we call it, aka, loved to pieces. So, I thought, what better gift could I give her than a replacement cover bag. It fit her large bible perfectly plus, I chose this one specifically for two reasons. 1. The quote was something I’ve heard her say several times so I knew it held great meaning for her. 2. Bless her heart but she confuses her church offering money with her missionary offering money all the time and I wanted one with a pouch or two so she could separate them.

I love this bible cover so much, very pleased with this purchase, fits my bible nicely with spare room but not too much that it slides around or anything but where I can fit a small journal in with some pens etc. and the pockets on the outside is where I store my hilighters. definitely a pretty bible cover and seems pretty durable as well! Everything I have ordered from this seller has been what I expected and more will definitely order from them again!

With two days to prep with my son and his fiancée, we put together a meaningful and satisfying very small wedding. I officiated. Not exaggerating: I could not have done it without this book. Now that I have done one, I feel well prepared to officiate for just about anyone. The book has many samples of ceremonies, a variety of texts suitable for religious (primarily Christian) couples and others for nonreligious couples, some pop culture quotes, and practical suggestions. We used bits and pieces of all that material plus original texts and some ideas from our families' traditions and came up with something unique that reflected their personalities, values, and interests. Great investment! Four stars is only because I think with more editing the organization of the book could have been tighter and easier to use. But it is easy to use, don't get me wrong!

Whether you are religious, spiritual or indifferent, or whether you are a heterosexual or same-sex couple (which we are) this book is a wonderfully helpful place to start to create your wedding ceremony. We read through the book, (Kindle Version) highlighted the verses/blessings/sayings that we liked, then we took everything that we liked and printed them on to index cards by section of the ceremony and then narrowed it down again to the ones that we really liked and then we edited the verses even further to our own liking and to something that was really fitting for us as a couple. Here is a hot tip: I ended up buying a second version of this book on iBooks because you can email yourself all the highlighted entries though iBooks and then I just copied and pasted all the sections we like into MS Word (or similar) and then printed everything thing on to index cards.

This was one of the books I purchased to help make script writing easier for me as an officiant. It offers step-by-step instructions, practical guidance for a variety of ceremonies (ranging spiritual to secular), and has many wonderful quote suggestions. The couple was able to thumb through this book and pick their favorite of each script component, which simplified the process tremendously, and made it less stressful for everyone involved. I would recommend it, and know I will be returning to for future weddings.

I'm acting as the officiant for a friends wedding and this book is very easy to use for planning purposes. Not only does it help with all the different segments of the ceremony, it provides sample vows, etc. It is helpful both for people planning a religious service or people who are planning a secular service. If you are wanting a very traditional and/or conservative Christian ceremony, this book will still be helpful but more for process than variations on vows. The book skews towards a less traditional outlook, which is fine by me. I just thought I would point this out for those who might be looking for something conservative.

Through all the hub-bub of trying to pull together my wedding, and make it memorable and beautiful, I was really struggling. A friend told me about Dayna Reid and her new Do It Yourself Ceremony book, and WOW, what a difference! The book is so easy to understand and the way she itemizes all the different aspects of the wedding process, I don't know if I would have been able to really pull it off had it now been for this book. IT IS AMAZING!!! I highly recommend this book for brides to be everywhere, whether you are getting married this year, or its not even for a few years... it is great tool to put your own signature and flair on what should be THE most important day of your life!! I am going to be buying a bunch of them as gifts for some of my single friends as well as the ones that are planning to take the plunge soon. AWESOME AWESOME !!! 5 Stars!!!

I conducted a ceremony for the first time last month (June 2015), and this provided to be an invaluable aid. I had initially wanted to write a wedding ceremony from scratch, but it was daunting to create it whole cloth. Not only did this book lay out traditional and non-traditional wedding ceremony formats and actions, but it also provided multiple examples of text and quotes to use for religious, spiritual, and secular ceremonies.So, while I still created a unique and personalized experience for the wedding party, using this for ideas and inspirations relaxed me and allowed my creativity to flow. It destroyed the "power of the white."Whether you are yourself an officiant or are planning a wedding, I can't recommend this more highly.My officiating was a resounding success, by the way.

I've found this to be a great resource for building our non-religious ceremony. Lots of different options to choose from and the book is well organized.I'd suggest sitting down with your fiance and reading through it together. It might seem like a lot, and you might have to break the whole thing into multiple sessions, but I feel like its worth the time. Use a pen, underline the sections you like and come back through later to make the final decisions.

This wonderful little book has everything you need to know about writing a ceremony script that wows...plus more. I highly recommend this book for the new and not so new officiant.

I loved the book, as with all the undying mercenary series it is full of endless action and humor.But I really think though that if Larson plans to continue the series he needs to shake things up a bit. Adding jame's daughter to the series a couple books back and now seeing her mature a bit, along with adding a minor character to the book as a new buddy - just isn't enough change to keep the series exciting. The series needs new fleshed out characters, and/or dramatic changes to the exiting ones. Until this point we've been hearing about a civil war in galactic space, but it hasn't had much of an effect at all on the story, couldn't it shake things up a bit? It seems like we are seeing a weekly star trek episode at this point; where some new disaster pops up each week and things start out hairy, but rest assured by the end of the 1 hour episode everything will be hunky dory.I say this as a huge fan of Larson, and the series; please shake things up, add new content, go in a new direction or this will simply end up as another series that ends in monotony simply because it was too easy to keep writing the same adventure each novel with just slight variations.

I like this author, but this latest book? It almost seems like someone else wrote it.I wish there were spoiler tags (or if there are, Amazon's review page would say what they are...), because there are very specific things that lead me to believe this. As well, the story doesn't hang together in the same way, the same fashion as prior stories.Characters that had lead / important roles, that spent significant time with McGill are essentially almost strangers, barely friends it would seem. Other characters, like those up the chain of command, have entirely different personalities. Heck, *all* characters seem to have different personalities.Again, it seems like someone else wrote this story ... without even reading the series completely first.I'm not sure I'll buy book 11.. if it materializes. Book 10 is ... well, it was painful to get through.Sorry Larson -- but, sometimes only the truth can bring improvement.

I’m a longtime reader, and big fan of B V Larson’s work, but this is my first review because I can be lazy sometimes. I have the entire Star Force, Undying Mercenary, Rebel Fleet, and Lost Colony series on kindle and most of them on audible as well. “Storm World” is a great addition to an impressive series. It was refreshing to have a book where the legion/s aren’t set on perming McGill for once, and I particularly enjoyed the Rick and Morty inspired evolution of Claver. I feel like the series is setting up for something big, and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.World Suggestsions:1.) Virtual World:McGill learns Kung Fu, and becomes the One, on a world where almost the entire population is plugged into VR units. But Angents Claver have a nefarious plan that could crash the whole system.2.) Hollow/Under World:McGill channels his inner Jules Verne as Legion Varus are sent to an honest-to-god hollow world where the entire population live underground to avoid deadly radiation from a merciless star. McGill and the Council of Clavers fight each other to secure the loyalty of the Mole People, and access to the precious minerals only available on this misbegotten world.3.) Paradise World:The Galactic Equivilant of Ibiza, McGill and Legion Varus can’t believe their luck when they are stationed on a planet of endless beaches, bars, and festival style concerts. People come from all over the galaxy to let loose and go crazy on a world where anything and everything goes. But somewhere among the throng of drugged-up revelry, the Clavers Prime are meeting with the galaxy’s most wanted arms dealer to procure a weapon that could shift the balance of power in the Galactic Civil War.

This is a series of now 10 books bearing thematic and plot element commonality. A key element of this being a far future book is that if you die and are known to have died, you can get fully revived keeping all or most of your memories. This book was the first to delve into some of the negative aspects of that. After all, you can be 600 years old but have a 20 year old body coupled with 600 years of experiences. Can a human mind deal with that breadth of memory? Well, the issue here is glossed over perhaps for revival later in the series.The plot elements, like superhero movies, are similar throughout. Added to McGill is a stock group of players which slightly expand as the series moves on.If you wish to give this series a try, by all means read the first book first. That has a background you’ll need to enjoy the subsequent volumes. I recommend also reading them in order but as long as you have the first one done, the others can be read in a loose chronology.This series is light science fiction more tilted toward the knave as hero trope. I have enjoyed them all and look forward to the next.

This guide is a great help in solving the scenarios. It provides detailed maps and strategic guidelines to "help" you conquer your opponents. I haven't "graduated" to multi-player yet, so I can't comment on how this book might help in that aspect.

The book came with the Battle chest version of the game. Depending on your purpose for reading this book it might not meet your needs. 1) It provides basic - from the manual information about the different units. Some useful information is telling you which units destroy which other units. 2) It tells you how to win each of the missions in the game. If you want to know before playing the mission how to beat it, why play? They also point this out in the book. Play the mission, then if you get stuck consult the book. Well, that's all there is to the book. I agree with one of the other reviews, which said if they wanted to write a good book, they should have evolved strategies of attack and defense such as "Build 12 marines, 12 Goliaths, 12 vultures, place each of the twelve types onto a number key. Now when you need a certain "type" of defense press the number key and tell it to attack the offending unit." Another good one is to keep building units while your base is under attack (obvious, but there are many kids playing this game with no war strategy experience). Strategy is necessary for these 12 yr olds to win these games.Finally, this is only a newbie book. Not for seasoned players of war games.

Strangely enough the people at Prima managed to skew the guide to one of the best games of all time by forgetting the fact that most of the players have already read the manual (and those who have not have not done so either because they don't care for hints or the game was rented). In fact, the guide has even less information than the manual - whereas the manual lists the strengths and weaknesses of the units as well as the buildings. The guide had one paragraph to say about the human's entire architectural menagerie. This would have been completely acceptable had the book attempted to reveal the web of srtategy possible with StarCraft ( defensive unit combinations, strategic turret positioning, formations, expansion rates, among others). The guide remains mysteriously silent on all these topics, instead repeating the information routinely found in the manual, adding - drumroll, please! - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!I have nothing to say but: if you have the manual, you already know what this book says. Think rather than buy.

It's slim - like a pamphlet - and infuriatingly replaces the manual in the Starcraft Battle Chest. The guide to the single player missions is reasonable, but they tend to be simplistic in any case (make a base or two, build a lot of defense, and crank out The Unstoppable Army so you can sweep the map in one massive wave.)The unit descriptions and tactical advice are worth a buck or two at most; you'd be better off just fooling around with the units on your own to see what they do. Passages range from accurate but non-informative to flat out wrong - for example, the author claims one powerful spell that protects your units from all ranged attacks only works against air-to-ground fire. Captions often have nothing to do with their picture, which has nothing to do with the page.There is a very brief section on multiplayer strategies, and it's the worst in the book. In describing the new layer of depth multiplayer adds, he offers this possibility (from memory):"For example, if you say to your opponent "I hope your flank is protected", what should he think? Are you really about to attack his flank? This is the kind of thing that brings multiplayer to a different level from single player."Nothing more needs to be said.

First off, I really don't play computer games that much, but starcraft is an exeption.I bought this book the day I bought Starcraft. It did help some, but over a year or so later I realize that I, myself could make a better guide. There are few strategies, and because of that I really had nothing to mold my own off of. Your better off doing it yourself, and taking your time.

These people know about as much about starcraft as I know about making nuclear missiles (nothing, by the way). This book talks about the reaver, a protoss unit, and never mentions its most useful strategy, the reaver drop(also its most used strategy). This book also tells very little about strategy, online or otherwise, and just tells you things you can read in the instructions. Don't waste your money on this book. If you feel you must get rid of some money, throw it in a paper bag and burn it (a better investment than this book)

Everything in this book is wrong, except for the unit stats, but even then some of them are outdated (but we won't hold that against prima). However, being how this was published 2 years after the original release of SC, you'd think that it would have some better multiplayer strategies than "always pay attention" and "a good defense is a good offense." The single player strategies consist of "build cannons at choke" and "build big army." Multiplayer strategy is a joke. If you really want to get better, go download some pro replays; this guide will just make your game worse.

Thank God I didn't have to pay for it, because it came with the BattleChest.Most of the book is dedicated to give solutions to the single player missions, as if the game was a tetris-like puzzle.And the rest is worse. The strategies are good for a novice, but anyone who has played a little can find huge flaws in it. Besides, it has some typos... like when it says Zerg Scourges are good against Terran Carriers...
