Putting into a book a reproducible process for congregations to use to become captivated by God's vision is a difficult task. Each congregation is different. Each visionary process is different. Standardizing the process of becoming acquired by God's vision is an inexact science. I suspect that few congregations do it exactly as this book indicates.What I see in this book is the spiritual calling, the giftedness, and the mastery of Will Mancini. Getting Will in dialogue with a congregation and their leadership is likely a thing of great beauty. At least that is how I perceive it from afar. Reading this book as a foundation for an experience with Will and others he has mentored is likely an important readiness exercise. Expecting the process in your congregation to be exactly like the book might cause you to trip over the God dream for your congregation.If you are thinking about vision casting, read this book. If you are thinking about having Will work with your congregation, then have your staff and key leaders read this book.

Best book I've read of its type.Will does something I have not found in other vision/planning books. Many books of this type get stuck either in "big picture" vision or lost in the tactical details of strategy or operations. This book, at least in my opinion, is able to move up to the highest level of vision (prophetic, big picture, 30,000 ft, whatever words you want to use), discuss how leaders are created to dream with God (big picture vision) but then walks into "vision templates" and then finally helps a leader walk through laying out a plan on paper. I actually found the first 2/3rds of the book more helpful than the last, but that might be because I was looking for a book that would deal with that specific content.I have recommended this to several pastor/church planter friends and the results have been favorable.It isn't the only vision book you will need but it plays a missing piece in regards to other vision & strategic planning books I've read.

The book is replete with examples and step-by-step guidance that can create movement for the plateaued and/or confused church. The book guides you to answer the question “Where is God taking us?” and provides the best templates I have seen to help you to get there.I can’t wait to get my church leadership team to interact with the concepts of this book.For years we feel we have “been on the right track” and have had solidly Biblical plans for bringing glory to God. I feel following the plans laid out in God Dreams can give us traction in stepping into our true identity and desired future as a congregation.My next step is to call Auxano to explore how they might help with guiding us in resourcing our church. If you are new to the GMAT and looking for a quicker prep plan, Kaplan Premier is a good book to work with - it provides a good intro to the test (explains the mechanics, basic principles, gets you familiar with the test structure, etc), has solid strategies that you can use regardless of your level, and finally, comes with 5 Adaptive tests. Think of it a starter camera/computer/car/etc - you don't want to start with anything expensive before you know what you are looking for. On the flip side, this book will last you for 3-4 weeks and most likely will only boost your score by 50-75 points. If you want a greater increase (and have 3 months to study, skip this book and pick a bigger caliber package from Manhattan GMAT or Veritas Prep that have a comprehensive overview of everything GMAT-related).~~~ THE GOOD: ~~~* Quite a few practice questions* Solid material with proven Math and Verbal strategies as well as formulas/etc background* 49 pages covering Integrated Reasoning* 6 Full GMAT Tests (5 are in adaptive CAT format on the online and 1 is in a paper format in the book)* Online practice with additional exercises and quizzes - 18 online drills* Much of general info on gmat has been moved into online video format, called Fast Fact Videos; that helps with learning when you have had too much reading for the day* Great value for the money with 6 Full GMAT tests, practice questions, and many online Quizzes* Good amount of coverage for the INTEGRATED REASONING.~~~ THE BAD: ~~~* Errors - I have spotted a few typos and issues with explanations; I suspect there may be a few more* Access to the online components expires after 6 months. This is the only reason to buy a new book vs used* NO CD/DVD - online content only for Tests* Does not have the depth and width a 700+ score requires* 1,100 Pages and 6 LBS! - not a travel size book~~~ OTHER STUDY OPTIONS & BOOKS ~~~Many applicants, bypass Kaplan Premier completely and head straight for the more specialized books such as the Manhattan GMAT Set of 8 Strategy Guides, Fourth Edition OR Complete GMAT Course Set - 15 Book. These book sets come with 8-15 books that are targeting specific Math and Verbal areas. You have a much better chance getting a 700+ with those book sets (not guaranteed) but they also do require at least 2.5-3 months to cover them. The MGMAT Books come with 6 adaptive online tests. Veritas Prep books come with tests as well BUT only if you purchase from their website (Ugh) Finally, a book you should also now about is the The Official Guide for GMAT Review, 13th Edition (more on that is below)~~~ SOME OTHER THOUGHTS: ~~~* What is a good study plan using Kaplan Premier?My recommendation would be to start with this book, finish it in about a month or so (by this time you will learn all the basics about the test, how it works, what is tested, and general strategies for answering questions). Then, you an figure out what's the best use of your time - you may have reached your target score and can stop or perhaps you are really lacking in Quant or Verbal and need a lot more serious practice.* Will this book give me 700+ score?For the majority of applicants, No. It is not deep enough for most people out of college to refresh the math and verbal fundamentals. You will most likely need other books to help you get there.* How do I get 700 then?There are several options:1. Review each section separately using the Kaplan GMAT Math Workbook and Kaplan GMAT Verbal Workbook2. Thorough/Methodical review of each area - If you have a bit more time, grab the Manhattan GMAT Set of 8 Strategy Guides, Fifth Edition OR Complete GMAT Course Set by Veritas - 15 Book. These books are excellent and are actually used in the classroom setting for their classes, so you are definitely get the top books. If you dont need/want the entire collection, see my review for what stand-alone books to get. This plan is likely to get you a higher score with this section but it will also take up more time (about a month more). Decide on the approach based on your starting position, target score, time you have, and willingness to study math and grammar for months without a break.* Any other books I need to know about?YES. There is one - The Official Guide for GMAT Review, 13th Edition. This book is published by the creators of GMAT and contains real GMAT questions. I only had about 1 month to study for the test and this book did a great job at preparing me. It was easy to understand and made studying a breeze. The online quizzes and tests helped me practice in the most realistic way, when I was taking the exam I honestly thought that it looked no different from what I'd seen at home. I have heard great reviews of the Manhattan Prep as well however, if you are seeking a study tool that will speedily help you understand the test, this book will do the trick.

A ton of practice exams in the book, but the external CD was the most helpful. It simulates the time pressure and helps you practice keeping focus for so long.My practice scores came out 80 points lower than my actual GMAT score, so I guess the Kaplan tests are harder.

Needed a book to quickly acquaint myself with this test and this turned out to be the perfect book! The tips and tricks are invaluable and come in very handy on the test. The practice tests help get familiar with the test format and pacing for the different portions. Just follow the suggestions and you'll see your test scores improve. I did!

If you have time to read the whole book and do all the exercises, you would easily get 700+ on your test. Love it.

I love that the book comes with an online program to help you further. Way easier to take the practice exams online and I felt like the online program helped me more than the actual book did

This is fantastic look at the history of astrophysics and its intersection with warming, much more thorough and well-sourced than most of Dr. Tyson's writing. It's aimed at an audience that wants to get into the weeds, so not those in a hurry.The first few chapters were interesting, but mostly in the realm of things I had heard before. The message came across as: "Psst, some technologies developed for war are also useful in science and vice versa". Not exactly earth-shattering. The technologies are telescopes/optics, navigation aids and calendars, and development of technologies using the electromagnetic spectrum. It gives context to the discussion but isn't worth a book in and of itself.The second half of the book is much more eye-opening. From a detailed look at 20th century technology (the world wars) to present-day issues, it examines the space force we have, its tasks and background, and how the line between military and civilian work is very thin indeed. There are places where I can feel the authors pushing a thesis about how astrophysical work benefits civilization as a whole and national security in general. There is an aspect of addressing some scientists disdain of human space exploration (you can do so much more science on a lower budget with robots) and arguing that humans in space benefits science as a whole. There are warnings about the dangers, as yet unrealized but not unimaginable, of space-based warfare. There are reviews of the space programs of Russia and China, as well as our allies in Europe and elsewhere, and a case for collaboration in science leading to peace in politics. This book is roomy enough for several large messages. I'm particularly interested in the intersection of science (specifically physics) and will recommend this to my students. To borrow a phrase from another book from a few years ago, this could be called Astrophysics for Future Presidents. Or maybe So You Think You Can Space Force.There are a few faults. A few of the chapters get very weedy and lose the conversational tone that the book begins and ends with. He tries valiantly to separate astrophysicists and physicists, treating them as from entirely different fields with entirely different motivations and foci, and I have trouble buying that -- it comes off as a little strange. But it's a great read and I'll be recommending it for a long time.I got a copy to review from the publisher through Edelweiss.

I would consider myself to be a fan of Neil's work and stance on many issues. As such I find myself somewhat disappointed by this primer. Paragraph after paragraph, anecdote after anecdote, story after story, chapter after chapter this books turns into a homogeneous litany of sameness. After several chapters I kept asking myself what exactly was Neil trying to accomplish here that hasn't already been established. Except for a few interesting historical accounts/stories, for me at least, there wasn't anything novel or particularly revealing. Sad to say, but I feel this subject/narrative should perhaps been much more effective as a podcast miniseries rather than a 500-plus page book.It's not a badly written book, or poorly researched. On the contrary, but good penmanship and thorough journalistic rigor cannot make up for the lack weight of the thesis behind the book.

A friendlier vision of space exploration a few decades ago was the largely benign journeys by Captain James T. Kirk and crew on the USS Enterprise with its “warp drive”, though armed with phasers, photon torpedoes, shields and sensor systems for largely defensive purposes.Today’s prospects for the role and uses of space, especially around Earth, are quite different according to Neil deGrasse Tyson and Avis Lang’s 2018 collaboration, “Accessory to War: the Unspoken Alliance between Astrophysics and the Military”.As the authors report, at the core of the debate is the complicated entangled relationship between astrophysicists exploring the visible and invisible aspects of our universe for general learning and the military organizations developing tools of offense and defense at the direction of their political leadership.The national priorities are clearly expressed in their estimated current global funding: astrophysics less than $3 billion while military spending over $1.7 trillion. The point is: regardless of who initiates the research, at some point the learning is likely to be repurposed into military use and possibly weaponized. Could be GPS systems, could be thermonuclear bombs. They mention the entire US Department of Defense 2019 proposed funding would equal the entire NASA funding for its history.This relationship between astrophysics and the military is complicated not only currently but also historically. With that in mind, the book is divided into two sections:• Situational Awareness: four chapters covering primarily the earlier advances in science and technology underpinning the current state of affairs• Ultimate High Ground: five lengthy chapters going through more recent development and its applications for use in space as well as very helpful definitions for terms like radar, laser, maser, CCDs (pixel), ISR (intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance), NEOs (ear Earth objects) and PHOs (potentially hazardous objects)The amount of detail is overwhelming and probably sufficient for anyone who wants to find support for whatever his or her particular view about national priorities is. Some facts cannot be ignored:• Some 20,000 pieces of space junk are orbiting Earth, like our own rings of Saturn, with destructive potential.• Accuracy of using weapons from space on Earth surface targets is simply not feasible now for a variety of reasons.• The recently touted Space Force as a concept is probably original to Donald Rumsfeld and possibly even before him.• US has been relying on Russian rockets and Soyuz capsules for space missions for some time now at a cost of over $80 million per trip.• US efforts to exclude China from the International Space Station (ISS) have probably pushed China to create and launch its own orbiting space station.• In 2011 China apparently became the top country for satellite launches followed by Russia, then, the US.The real current situation assessment can be found in Chapter 8, “Space Power.” There is a very informative summary of the major countries’ current space programs, including China, Russia, India, Japan and Canada as benchmarks. There is also indication the US may be pulling back on some of its previous lofty goals.One eerie detail is mention of the US Air Force’s description of self-defense, “the 5 D’s of deception, disruption, denial, degradation and destruction.” Seem familiar?Discussion of cyberwarfare and its potential to disrupt satellite communications and weapons programs is cursory. A more detailed review is available in David E. The second section shifts to straight ahead chronicling of information but more summary analysis could have helped the points and flow.The book title seems ambivalent about what the authors think the relationship between astrophysics and the military should be, especially regarding the use of space. Is it a good thing or bad? Worth the investment? What and whose motives are prevailing? For that reason reading the book may be a different experience than what one might expect from the cover.Beam me back, Scotty.

Let me start by saying I love Erika!! I’m not impressed with her behavior this season on HWOBH but I do enjoy her. But this book is so terribly written. I mean typos...COME ON! I know she’s not an author and she has help writing but they sure didn’t help her out at all.

This has got to be the most boring book I have ever read. Jayne comes across as one of the most narcissistic people ever who fails so understand why people may not always be so fond of her. Save your money and your time and forget about this book. I did as soon as I finished reading it. So disappointing.

I love Erika Jayne and was so excited to read about her life. This book however was awful! If you watched her in any interview you do not need to read her book. The writing is terrible.

I’m really disappointed at how boring this book was. She’s pretty much said it all in the show already. There are no surprises or anything to make it interesting.

If you enjoy reading the same thing over and over again, this was a good read. However, I was shocked there was nothing that interesting about the book that we don't already see or hear on tv.

I went into reading this book hoping to understand her a bit better, this book was a big snoozer for me. Reading this book was like Chinese water torture. I should have listened to my instincts and saved my hard earned money! Oh well.......

Whoever edited this book should be ashamed!!!!!! I don’t expect Erika to know the in’s and out’s of grammar but I do expect the people she entrusted her life story to have a grip. I felt as though I was reading the first draft off her computer. So much repetition. So many grammatical mistakes.Erika - I really like you. You just chose to sign up with a subpar publisher.

Pros: Easy to readNot too woo-wooLeaves the reader feeling empowered and interestedExcellent exercisesCons: Seems to be written for older, married couples who want to spice up their lives. The author repeatedly talks about how most women are no longer interested in sex because they are bored with it, or because of past pain. I'm a younger woman who loves sex and sees intimacy at a way to heal old wounds.Overall, I am glad I bought it and read it. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about tantra, the spiritual practice.

This book has changed our love making completely. Although we have been married for 42 years, we are now enjoying the BEST SEX of our lives! We connect at a deeper level, and we BOTH feel MUCH more fulfilled.I read three of Diana's books before suggesting her approach to my wife. All it takes an open mind (it is different) and a little practice. However, in our case, we experienced UNBELIEVABLE RESULTS THE FIRST TIME. My wife is still in the early stages of reading, but she is already reaching deeper levels of fulfillment than ever before. Sex is so good now that I can't imagine how it will get any better, but I suspect that it will as we continue this practice and explore ourselves and each other even more deeply.

A friend shared about this book and I gave it a shot! It was an interesting concept to me. Something I hadn't heard before.I finished the book fairly quickly. 3 days about. I was a little skeptical that my husband would be open to this.I can say that this has changed our sex life and I love how in depth this book is in explaining this concept of lovemaking. She gives examples as well and helps throughout. I felt a huge change and shift once we put these concepts to use. We feel so much more connected. This book has changed my life. :)I wish I would have read this book before marriage! And I have also shared this with close friends.

Just out of curiosity, I ordered this book. I was surprised to learn that my instincts were correct regarding how I wanted foreplay. In addition, the information regarding our energies and how males and females interact was of equal interest to my acupuncturist and I. This is a great manual for understanding Sex in general as well as tantric exercises for bringing couples together.

This book is amazing and really opened my mind of what sex can be. Really good book because it does not just talk about Tantra as a concept or just say to be aware , it gives detailed instruction on exercises and methods to try with your partner and on your own. I think its a valuable book for any relationship.

This is a marvelous book for the person interested in enhancing their sexual experience.It is detailed and very informative with Osho references.

Now I will be more conscious of her wants, desires and needs. I will be more patient and fulfilling. All that I have learned will be utilized for her pleasure. This book helped me to see love making as a spiritual experience.

This book has been a view-changer for me. Opened my eyes to a much healthier view of sexual relations. Highly recommended.
